Overview
The 12x24 plank size opens Almond up to running bond, herringbone, and vertical stack layouts, each of which handles the tan veining a little differently. Listed for countertop use in addition to flooring, this size lets a kitchen carry Almond from the floor up onto an island or prep surface. Breaking strength for this format exceeds 275 lbf, and scratch hardness is rated at 8.0, holding up well in higher-traffic kitchens and living spaces. A 3/16" grout joint is standard.
Design Note
Running the 12x24 planks in a herringbone pattern gives Almond more energy than a straight-lay installation, which suits kitchens and entries that see a lot of foot traffic and benefit from visual interest underfoot. For a calmer look, a simple running bond keeps the veining as the main point of focus. Cream or off-white grout tends to blend into Almond's base color, while a soft gray grout lets individual tile edges show more clearly.
