Overview
The herringbone layout gives Alps a diagonal, zigzagging rhythm that a straight-laid plank doesn't offer, adding visual texture to a room without introducing a second color. Each individual plank still carries the same embossed in register surface and 8.0mm Wood Polymer Composite core as the 9x60 size, so the texture and performance underfoot stay consistent between formats. This format is 100% waterproof, easy to clean, and quieter underfoot than a hard flooring alternative, thanks to its attached IXPE pad and Rigid Click construction.
Design Note
Because the herringbone pattern already brings a lot of visual interest, Alps in this layout works well as a statement floor in an entryway or a smaller room where the pattern can be appreciated as a whole. Keeping wall colors and furniture simple lets the herringbone stay the visual focus. This format also pairs naturally with the 9x60 plank in an adjoining room, letting a home transition from a patterned floor to a straight-laid one without changing color.
